_Yellowing skylines_

Syo looked out the window of his room sadly. His blonde hair combed down neatly. His white shirt tucked into his black outfit. His brother had insisted that he removed the black nail polish from his nails the night before.

The sky were lovely shades of yellow and pink. Still being rather early it had yet to fade into the subtle blue that he had come to love looking at. Bringing his hand from the collar of his shirt down to his nightstand, he closed his blue eyes as he touch the pick. He never thought he would miss the sound of a simple guitar being strummed under the the branches of the green oak tree. He didn't realize how it had come to comfort him when he was unwell.

A small tap at his door. "Syo-chan, are you ready?"

He opened his eyes to see his younger twin brother looking at him, his door now wide open. "Yes."

"Are you okay?" His voice hinted with concern.

"Yes." Syo rolled his eyes. Kaoru's concern bothered him. His brother acted like it was the end of the world. But Syo knew that it wasn't. That things like this were natural and could happen at anytime for no reason at all. It was just the way the world worked.

"I'm sure everyone will understand if you are not feeling well enough to do it. Otoya would understand too."

"I'm fine."

"Syo..." His brother's voice trailed off. "If you're sure then I'll just wait downstairs. I'll give you a moment to be alone."

"Thank you." Syo whispered.

Walking over to the window, Syo rested his head on the glass. His blonde locks brushed his eyelashes. "What am I supposed to say? It's not like I was ready for this. It's not like a speech is just gunna fall out of the sky. Things don't work like that. You could have let me know... No I guess you couldn't have." Syo mumbled aloud.

Not seeing anything inspiring, he pushed himself away. If only he could just talk about the grass and the sea. That's what they spent most of their time talking about. But it had to be meaningful, it had to have feeling. It had to be a good farewell.

"You wanted me to say something, so I'll say what I think is right. But why is saying the right thing so hard. What would you have said? I bet you had something ready. No, I take that back, you were a clutz." Syo walked around his room. There were so many people downstairs waiting for him to say something, anything.

"You like songs, but I'm not going to sing, Otoya. Songs are like poems I guess. I could do that. Yes!" Syo gave a small smile. "I know what I'll do."

_Your hair was red_

_Those eyes were too_

_And this is the way_

_I want to remember you_

_So I thought I should tell you_

_I'm trying my best_

_To tell you these feelings_

_As they put you to rest_

_So many things_

_I never thought I could see_

_But you took the time_

_To show them to me_

_I guess I should tell you_

_What, exactly, I mean_

_By sharing with you_

_All the things I have seen_

_The grass is now green_

_The ocean is blue_

_And these yellowing skylines_

_Remind me of you._

><p><em><strong>I thought this poem would match a deathfic, but I'm a little tired of it being Syo that is hurt. Sorry Oto-chan! But I found this poem in my old writing book and thought it would be cute.<strong>_
